MONROEVILLE VINEYARD & WINERY
Monroeville Vineyard & Winery is a long time dream of owners John and Debra Basile. John is a 3rd generation home wine maker and has been sharing his wine with friends and family for over 30 years. Debra has a degree in Agricultural Economics and like John enjoys the outdoors. John and Debra had dreamed of owning a farm since they first met in 1988. Monroeville Vineyard & Winery began with the purchase of a farm in Monroeville, New Jersey during the summer of 2009. The 30-acre farm was perfect for a winery. The first vine was planted in the spring of 2010 and there are now almost 2800 vines thriving in their 4 acre vineyard. They began making wine in March of 2011 and have since made over 20 varieties of Dry to semi-sweet wines. The Tasting Room opened in March of 2012 and has hundreds of visitors every weekend. In addition to using the grapes grown on the farm John and Debra purchase most of the fruit from local farmers. These fruits include: Nectarine, Apple, Peach, Blackberry, Strawberry, Cranberry and of course Blueberry. Monroeville Vineyard & Winery has grown quite a bit in it’s first year due to the support of the local farmers and the help of many friends and family. Salem County is a great place to live and work. Owners John and Debra are grateful to the many friends who offer advice on farming, tips to running a small business and to the customers who enjoy their wine.W-PBA Wine & Food Pairing (Fall Mixer)
